Antoni Success Story
Antoni is a 30 years old software engineer student from Germany.
Tell me about your work experience?
Before Voxils Sketchventure I was always interested in creating games because of my love for video games.
At what age did you start doing work and developed a love for artwork?
I did some tutorials here and there but before starting this project I haven’t had any other working exp in creating games more drawing.
How did you develop a fondness for artwork?
I was never an artist and I also wouldn’t call myself an artist today. I was the one drawing bad stick figures back then in school.
Did you study artwork? If yes then from where?
I wouldn’t say that my profession is graphic design but as I don’t have money to hire someone to create the graphics in this game I have to do it by myself. So I try and try until I like what I see and it fits the scene I want to present in the game.
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influences for this game are other games like ” Hollow Knight”, “Monster boy” “The legend of Zelda” and a bunch of other small indie studios that created amazing and awesome games I still love to play.
The art in Voxils Sketchventure is doodle looking because everyone in this game is living inside books. This project means a lot to me since Voxel, the protagonist is an old friend of mine. Back then in math classes when I was young, I was so bored that I started drawing. Even though I was terrible at drawing, I was able to draw a stick figure with a big squared head. That’s where Voxil was born and from this day on I was always drawing him and his adventures in math classes. Years later then, when I started getting interested in programming I decided to bring him back to life with this video game project.
