Game: Dr. Mario World
Dr. Mario World is a match-three mobile game developed and published by Nintendo in collaboration with Line Corporation and NHN Entertainment.
About the game
In Dr. Mario World, the player removes viruses from the screen by matching their colors with that of a pill capsule. The player orients a single pill capsule against an array of viruses and obstacles. As the pill begins to drift upwards, the player can rotate and horizontally move the pill such that, when settled, the pill’s color will match at least two similarly colored viruses in a vertical or horizontal direction. The level is complete when all viruses are removed.
“Dr. Mario World” is available for Android and iOS.
Tips and tricks:
- Flip pills before dragging them into the board
You can rotate pills before dragging them into the board. It’s easier to do this before moving the pull than after because as soon as you release a pill on the board it will start moving up until it touches another object. And once you move a pill onto the board you cannot move it lower on the screen (only higher).
So you’re better off rotating the pill beforehand.
- Don’t wait for the pills to float up
This is especially useful in timed stages or competitive versus play. As soon as you release a pill on the board, it will float upwards until it hits another object. Don’t wait for this to happen. Instead, drag the pill exactly where you want it to go. You can even put them in spots they wouldn’t be able to float to (as pictured below). You can do this at any time with any stray floating pills.
- Choose your main character carefully
You will get to pick your first doctor from the following 3 doctors: Dr. Mario, Dr. Peach, and Dr. Bowser. Each has their own unique skill. Which one you want to go with will depend on your own preference but be aware that they all have different skills in both stage and online versus mode.
