Marc,
an Industrial and Informatics engineer and 3D artist by profession.
Tell me about yourself?
My name is Marc, and I live in Barcelona. I have studied Industrial engineering, but I have always liked informatics and computers so when I finished the degree I did a Master’s degree in informatics engineering.
Tell me about your work experience?
Since I finished the university 5 years ago I have worked as a software test engineer in two different companies.
At what age did you start doing work and developed a love for artwork?
I started to develop games when I was 22 (7 years ago).
How did you develop a fondness for artwork?
I have always enjoyed playing puzzle games so when I learned to program during the university I tried game development and since now I am doing that in my free time.
Did you study artwork? If yes then from where?
No, I studied Industrial engineering and later a master’s degree in informatics engineering.
From where did you learn this?
All that I know about game development is thanks to youtube videos and amazing tutorials made by great people.
Why did you choose 3D art as a profession?
It’s just a hobby.
Who are your biggest influences?
I don’t have any specific influence but I enjoy beautiful puzzle games like
Monument Valley, World of Goo, The room, or Lara Croft Go.
How do you become a successful artist?
Unfortunately, I am not successful, I am struggling to get more visibility.
What makes you good and different from others?
I always try to create a challenging experience for the player. In Gravity Song I tried to combine challenging levels with a colorful style and great ambient music. I want to say thanks to Quentin Charbit for the awesome ambient music he created for the game.
What Does Your Art Mean to You?
I want to bring the player challenging games where he needs to think while playing. In Gravity Song I have tried to combine the challenge with a relaxing colorful experience.
