Peter Samwell

Peter Samwell is an artist.

Tell me about yourself?

My stage name is Peter Samwell, making art makes me happy, lately, I am looking to bring my skills to the world of sequential art, I love sleeping, consuming pasta with marinated sauce and frankly, I don’t know what else to say about myself.

Tell me about your work experience?

I participate in the exhibitions “Radioactividad” (2019) and “Imágenes de la violencia” (2019).

At what age did you start doing work and develop a love for artwork?

For twenty-two years, I focus my time on artistic creation.

How did you develop a fondness for artwork?

Entering the art college greatly increased my love for the creation and appreciation of art.

Did you study artwork? If yes then from where?

Student of the Bachelor of Plastic Arts at the Faculty of Arts at the Autonomous University of Baja California.

From where did you learn this?

Much of my training is due to my teachers and colleagues in the faculty.

Why did you choose art as a profession?

I chose the world of art because it allows me to express what words cannot say. Art can influence creating a better world.

Who are your biggest influences?

The photography of Nicolas Bruno, the Surrealist painting of Remedios Varo, the cinema of Quentin Tarantino and every one of my fellow students.

How do you become a successful artist?

A successful artist manages to get other people out of passivity through his art.

What makes you good and different from others?

I love to experiment, I am not afraid to break moulds or taboos, I constantly seek to create an honest art that recreates the fragments of reality in which I live.

What does your art represent and does art mean to you?

My art represents my dreamlike and true side, in addition to my vision of reality through my filter. Art for me is to express by other means what conventional communication fails to represent faithfully.
