Sayonara Wild Hearts is presented by Simogo.
About the game
Sayonara Wild Hearts is a rhythm game broken into 23 levels. In each level, the player controls the main character as they automatically travel through a surrealistic landscape alongside a pop music soundtrack. The general mechanics of each level change, but in general the player attempts to guide the character to collect hearts across the level to earn points while avoiding obstacles. On some levels, the player will be prompted to press a button in time with the soundtrack to make a jump or avoid an obstacle. Other levels may require the player to move a cursor on the screen to target a bow-and-arrow weapon to defeat enemies, in a manner similar to Rez.
Sayonara Wild Hearts is available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, macOS, iOS, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One.
Tips and tricks:
The following are tips and tricks for the smooth gameplay.
- Tap hearts after a split-second to get perfect 250 points
Throughout the gameplay, you’ll get scenes where you have to tap the heart power to dodge an enemy attack or jump off a road. If you tap it timely, you’ll earn bonus points. We learned that pressing it after a split second of its full appearance earns you 250 points. Or else you’ll either get 100 or 50 points.
- Check the road ahead in level 13 — parallel Universe
In level 13 “Parallel Universe” the objects on the will shift positions. You have to make sure that you’re looking ahead and keeping your bike in the lane where it needs to be by the time you reach the spot. Also, there will be a time in this level where driving in zig zag form would help avoid confusion. Check the video above for this situation.
- Going in zig zag pattern will help in most situations
Throughout the game when you feel like you can’t escape the enemy attacks or obstructions on the road, try following a zig zag pattern to get past the situation. I have tried it on multiple levels in the game and can tell you with confidence that it works effortlessly.
