Tell me about yourself?

I’m a Brazilian, 19 years old, and I call myself “Sheep Thaty” because of an old plan I made with a friend about to create a YouTube channel when we were younger. That channel’s name would to be “that black sheep world”, and we adopted the nicknames “Sheep Thaty” and “Sheep Mári”. The idea didn’t go ahead, but we keep using the nicknames we like so much.

I like to draw in different art styles, from the cutest to the darkest one, because any feeling has its own need.

Also, I’m studying Publicity at the university.

Tell me about your work experience?

I work principally as a freelancer artist and designer, but I had work on a project called “Jambu Festival” as the main illustrator, drawing important personalities from Brazil.

At what age did you start doing work and developed a love for artwork?

Like a lot of the artists, I used to draw since I was a kid, I just didn’t stop. But I started to learn about the fundamentals and techniques when I was above 13-14 years old, learning everything alone at my home, with YouTube videos and tutorials!

How did you develop a fondness for artwork?

I guess it begined when I started to create histories with my drawings, just as comics. I didn’t even now how to read or write, but I used to draw lot of histories that I has to remember all the dialogues I’m my dumb child head.

Did you study artwork? If yes then from where?

I studied alone as self taught.

From where did you learn this?

Internet, principally YouTube.

Why did you choose art as a profession?

Actually I didn’t. I mean, that’s my favorite hobby and transforming this to work always sounded like it would turn out to be boring or stressful. But art and design are the best things I know how to do, so I started to sell it.

Who are your biggest influences?

Gabriel Picolo, Meyoco, Miyazaki. I’m terrible with names.

How do you become a successful artist?

I’m still fighting for it.

What makes you good and different from others?

My art gets life when I’m drawing. I want to draw some stuff and what I get is something that creates its own. It’s like my artwork talks to me, and decides it’s life. So my pieces of art are different because I didn’t create it, they did it alone.

What does your art represent and does art mean to you?

My art represents strong feelings, such as rage, happiness, despair. And sometimes it’s just something made to be simple and pretty, to relax and escape reality. And art means this: escape: even if you are trying to escape forgetting the bad stuff, you may try to embrace all these bad and good thoughts and turn it into art.
